The Interactive Advertising Bureau and digital consultancy firm Future State have announced a partnership to create a service for Kiwi businesses to fully understand their digital maturity.

The new Digital Maturity index (DMi) has been developed to help businesses understand how they stack up in the digital space, and where they need to focus to stay relevant to their customers and staff.

Consisting of an assessment survey, research, and expert analysis by two of New Zealand’s leading digital practitioners, the DMi offers an opportunity to truly understand how a business is positioned to succeed in the digital economy.

Future State partner/senior consultant Alex Radford says the digital economy is now a reality, with disruption common in almost every part of our working and personal lives.

“It’s becoming more fragmented and harder to connect with audiences in an authentic and relevant way,” he said. “The channels available to marketers are also vast, disparate and confusing, and never has there been so little trust in the industry.

“For many businesses the real issue is that they have simply not built the foundations to succeed in this digital economy, be it the technology, the organisational structure, the leadership or simply given enough thought to the strategic direction.

“The Digital Maturity index is $5000 for non-IAB members and $3500 for IAB members. This is a one-off fee.”

IABNZ ceo Adrian Pickstock says now is the time for NZ businesses to take stock of their digital strategies.

“With programmatic advertising maturing, Amazon on the horizon and Search on the cusp of disruption by voice technologies, it is vital for NZ businesses to ensure that their foundations in digital marketing are sound.

“Future State is a natural fit for this project. With Alex and his co-founder Richard Thompson’s experience in this space they will I’m sure be able to find lots of actionable insights for our members and non-members alike.”

The Digital Maturity index is $5000 for non-IABNZ members and $3500 for IABNZ members. This is a one-off fee and includes a detailed report and a presentation from the Future State team.
