AUCKLAND, Today: NZME has locked in another partnership with Tussock Country as the festival returns to Gore in 2026, marking the media company’s third collaboration following successful events in 2023 and 2024.
For 2026, NZME’s newest audio brand iHeartCountry NZ will lead the partnership, connecting the country music community nationwide through New Zealand’s premier country music event.
Held across ten days in May in Eastern Southland, Tussock Country delivers more than 80 events celebrating music, food, rural life and entertainment, drawing fans and communities together from across the country.
NZME Chief Audio Officer Jason Winstanley says, “Country music is experiencing a surge in popularity both globally and here in New Zealand, and NZME was proud to launch our very own dedicated country music station earlier this year to meet that growing audience demand.
“Tussock Country is the perfect platform for iHeartCountry – we’re thrilled to be partnering with an event that celebrates everything we love about country music and rural New Zealand.”
