Invivo bolsters global marketing team with two new hires

AUCKLAND, Wednesday: NZ wine company Invivo has welcomed two new hires to its NZ-based global marketing team – Gemma Fitzpatrick and Georgia Sanderson.

The duo brings a wealth of experience across New Zealand and Australia and are primed to strengthen Invivo’s marketing offering as the wine and spirits producer continues to grow internationally.

Gemma Fitzpatrick joins the team in a newly created position of digital & community manager and brings with her eight years of creative, digital and traditional marketing experience in-house and agency side.

Previously working for brands such as ecostore, Vitaco and Service Foods, she is a specialist in building integrated digital channel strategies.

She said: “I’m so excited to have joined the ambitious team at Invivo, working on our digital strategy and mapping user journeys for consumers around the world.

“It was important that my next career move had a global scope and an innovative approach to marketing – and Invivo really stood out to me. I can’t wait to be a part of what’s next.”

Georgia Sanderson takes up the role of assistant brand manager; most recently she worked for Moët Hennessy NZ, specialising in trade marketing.


“Gemma’s digital credentials and Georgia’s eye for trade marketing will help fuel our mission to disrupt the drinks industry while continuing to support our distributors around the world.”

She said: “Invivo fosters an environment of growth and true innovation in both their brands and people and challenges the status quo in an industry that has a breadth of mature brands.

“I’m thrilled to be taking the lead on many of the exciting brand and trade marketing plans that are in the pipeline, including operating the world’s first winery airline flight.”

Invivo’s global revenue has grown by 131% over the past two years. Its wines and spirits are now available in 42 countries. Fitzpatrick and Sanerson will be working across Invivo’s portfolio of brands that includes Graham Norton wine and spirits, Invivo X, Sarah Jessica Parker, the Invivo wine range and Invivo X Unity (official prosecco of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Invivo was recently named a finalist at the NZ International Business Awards and in 2020, Invivo became the first winery in a decade to win at the TVNZ Marketing Awards.

Invivo is New Zealand’s first and only equity-crowdfunded winery, with 600 shareholders across New Zealand.
