Network unveils sponsorship deal with NZ-owned bank

AUCKLAND, Today: TVNZ has announced a deal that will see Kiwibank become the new broadcast partner for weekly current affairs programme Sunday, one of the network’s highest-rating programmes.

The contract was sealed with the support of agencies Fuse, OMD Wellington, Special, and TVNZ Blacksand, who all worked on the project. Kiwibank is the largest New Zealand-owned, B-Corp certified bank.

As part of the partnership, Kiwibank and TVNZ will share stories of sustainable business successes, in a new content series Kiwibank: Business for Better.

These will run as short episodes, with a focus on showcasing Kiwi businesses that are making a positive impact on Aotearoa while staying commercially successful.

The series will screen on air during Sunday commercial breaks, alongside longer versions which will stream on TVNZ+ and across social media channels.

TVNZ commercial director Jodi O’Donnell said, “We are excited to be working closely with Kiwibank – not only on the broadcast partnership, but on the content series too.”

Sunday executive producer Jane Skinner said, “The Business for Better partnership series is closely aligned with Sunday’s goals of championing creativity, innovation, and sustainability in Aotearoa, and is a natural fit for our programme and our viewers.”

The first of these stories launched last Sunday, and is ready to watch now on TVNZ+ and , with the rest to screen over the comong months.
