The Kiwi ad legends featured in our historic Cibo photo earlier this week still meet regularly for lunch, writes former DDB NZ group ceo Sandy Moore, from somewhere in France where he is currently on vacation.
“Roger, Mike, Peter, Ross, Devo and I have met there every few months or so since our ‘retirements’ from Mad Man world,” he says.
“And we still intend to – even after David’s sad passing.”
M+AD also heard from Sandy Moore’s daughter Charlotte, who emailed us: “My Dad Sandy Moore was in the pic of advertising gurus long lunching – I can’t remember when it was but I know it was taken at Cibo in Parnell.”
We also heard from the TRB’s Jane Hitchfield: “Such a great restaurant! And that bunch at lunch is legendary,” she wrote.
M+AD now plans to give our ad legends saga a rest (for at least a year or two).
