AUCKLAND, Today: John Madden, co-founder of CBD-based Spitfire Digital, is moving on, to start a new ‘mystery’ venture in the Queen City.

“Seventeen years ago I co-founded Spitfire with Colin Proebstel,” Madden says. “We’ve always coined Spitfire as one of NZ’s pioneering digital agencies.

“We’ve been around and we’ve done a lot.

“Two years ago the business was acquired by a new entity and now my time has come to an end. I’m finishing up Friday and looking forward to chasing some waves over summer.

“Spitfire is in great hands.”

“Spitfire [now headed by Tony Richards] is in great hands.”

As for what’s next? There’s a new venture on the boil. Naturally it’s digitally focussed. That won’t be like for like but will focus on helping NZ companies do more with their customers.

“More on that later. I’ll keep you posted.”
