Marketo has feet on the ground in NZ

AUCKLAND, Today: M+AD told only half the story on Friday about Adobe’s purchase of Marketo. We also got some facts wrong (scroll down to the link – now updated).

For starters we called Marketo a marketing agency – in fact, they’re a global, market-leading marketing engagement platform (software).

And, contrary to Friday’s story, Marketo actually have had feet on the ground in NZ for the past four years.

“M+AD regrets the errors, which were due to our failure to double-check the work of an inexperienced part-time sub-editor.”

“We have a passionate base of NZ customers which include TradeMe, BNZ, Cigna and one of the top telcos in NZ,” says Sydney-based ANZ head of marketing Lauren Adam – herself a Kiwi, who grew up in Wellington, and attended Victoria Uni.

“Aaron Senden is our country manager, based out of Auckland, and Chrissie Griffin is our customer success manager.”

Our final indignity was describing Brad Rencher, EVP of Adobe’s digital marketing business unit, as a Marketo executive.

M+AD regrets these errors, which were due to our failure to double-check the work inexperienced part-time sub-editor.
