AUCKLAND, Monday: MediaWorks has announced the appointment of Angus Swainson as its new outdoor director. Swainson has been with MediaWorks since 2019 and has more than 20 years’ experience in media as a lawyer and in senior leadership roles.
His appointment follows the decision by current outdoor media director Mike Porter to leave MediaWorks.
MediaWorks chief operating officer Jeff McDowall said: “Mike Porter has worked in outdoor for 16 years. He played a pivotal role in the integration of QMS into MediaWorks and has successfully navigated the transition from the early days of static billboards, into the disruption and growth of our digital portfolio.
“Angus and Mike have been working collaboratively on the succession plan, and Mike is supportive of this leadership transition.”

Mike Porter will finish up at MediaWorks at the end of November.
