The Rock turns it up at the NZ Radio & Podcast Awards

AUCKLAND, Today: MediaWorks is still riding high after a massive showing at the 2025 NZ Radio & Podcast Awards, nabbing 14 wins across content, creative, marketing, sales, and sound.

The Rock led the charge with five awards, proving once again why it’s one of New Zealand’s most iconic and enduring stations. Its standout wins included:

  • Best Music Feature: The Rock 2000 was celebrated as the winner, showcasing the station’s iconic music programming
  • Best Content Director/Content Team: Brad King and Jack Honeybone of The Rock were recognised for their exceptional leadership and creative direction
  • Best Show Producer or Producing Team – Music Show: Ryan Maguire and Mitch Farr, the driving force behind “The Morning Rumble” on The Rock, won for their outstanding production
  • Best Music Network Team: Rock Drive with Jay & Dunc – The #1 music Drive show, featuring Duncan Heyde, Jay Reeve, Tiegan Lilley, and Lee Weir, was named the winner
  • Best Network Station Promotion: Hit the Lights from The Rock where they lit up the Sky Tower with The Rock 2000 countdown and took home the top prize, highlighting innovative listener engagement

More FM Northland also had a big night, taking home Local Station of the Year, Best Local Music Breakfast Show or Host, and Best Single Market Promotion.

Other MediaWorks stations were also in the spotlight, picking up awards across creative, commercial, and content categories, showing depth across the entire network.
