AUCKLAND, Today: Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport has appointed hotel brand and marketing studio Moda to lead its marketing strategy and campaign development after a competitive tender.

Led by founder and director Danelle Ayers, Moda will work with the Pullman Auckland Airport team and Accor to sharpen brand positioning, build demand, and support commercial performance for the premium airport hotel.

Ayers says the appointment reflects Moda’s strong hotel sector experience and its focus on combining brand thinking with commercial results.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Pullman Auckland Airport team on this next phase of growth,” says Ayers.

“This is an exceptional property with a clear ambition to redefine what an airport hotel can be – not just a place of convenience, but a considered part of the journey.”

Moda was selected following a two-stage process involving multiple agencies, with the team recognised for its specialist hotel expertise and commercially focused approach.

Paul Columbus, Precinct General Manager – Pullman Auckland Airport, says Moda’s hospitality experience and strategic thinking made it a strong fit for the hotel.

“With Moda’s extensive experience in hospitality brand strategy and marketing, we’re confident they will bring fresh thinking and a strong strategic lens to how we position and grow the hotel,” says Columbus.

Rachael Nicholson, Commercial Director – Accor New Zealand, says Moda’s hospitality expertise stood out during the selection process.

“Pullman Auckland Airport represents an important addition to the Pullman portfolio in New Zealand,” says Nicholson.

“Moda’s strong understanding of hospitality brand strategy and marketing, combined with their commercially focused approach, made them a natural partner as we continue to build awareness and demand for the hotel.”

Moda will lead an integrated programme spanning brand positioning, campaign development, production, paid media strategy, PR, and partnerships, with a strong commercial focus.

As part of that programme, Moda will also partner with Ginni Post of GP Communications to support PR and earned media activity.

Ayers says that mix of marketing and PR expertise will help tell the hotel’s story with both creativity and commercial clarity.

“Hotels are complex ecosystems. Successful marketing needs to balance brand, creativity and storytelling, distribution, guest experience and commercial performance. That’s where our experience comes into play – we’ve been in those environments and understand how all the pieces fit together.

“Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport sits in a unique position within the travel journey,” says Ayers.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to help shape how the hotel shows up in market and build momentum around what is already a truly impressive offering.”
