SINGAPORE, Today: Motion Sickness has been named Independent Agency of the Year at the 2026 Spikes Asia Awards, capping off a standout night that also delivered the Grand Prix for Good.

The agency picked up the Grand Prix for The Māori Roll Call, alongside three Gold and two Bronze Spikes across creative effectiveness, the award for change, brand experience and creative commerce.

“It’s a pretty surreal feeling for the team, ” says Alex McManus, Partner and GM. “Last year was huge for Motion Sickness, and it’s encouraging to see 2026 is showing no signs of slowing down.

“These awards help recognise this whole company’s incredible talent, our client partners’ trust and bravery, and I think also help confirm that while we’re really great at Herpes, we’re pretty great at other things too.”

The Māori Roll Call has become one of the most recognised pieces of creative work to come out of Aotearoa in recent years, helping spark national conversation around Māori electoral enrolment and representation.
