Special names Gareth Rice as Creative Director

AUCKLAND, Today: Independent creative agency Special has promoted Gareth Rice to Creative Director, recognising his impact on the agency’s creative output and leadership over the past three years.

Since joining Special, Rice has played a hands-on role lifting craft across the agency, jumping in at any stage of the process to guide ideas and sharpen the work.

His credits include award-winning campaigns like Cliché Codes for Uber Eats, Plastic Pile of Sh!T for Better Packaging Co, plus major brand platform launches for Kiwibank and Fisher Funds.

The move adds another milestone to Rice’s two-decade career, spanning Australia, New Zealand, London and the Netherlands, and delivering campaigns known for both creativity and effectiveness.
