Arrivals & Departures: dentsu ANZ brings in Danica Bellchambers for top data and AI role

AUCKLAND, Today: dentsu ANZ has named Danica Bellchambers as its new Chief Data & Technology Officer, starting 11 May, as it sharpens its focus on using data, technology and AI to drive stronger client results.

The newly created role brings those three areas together as a central capability across the business, closely linked with dentsu’s Media, Creative and Experience teams.

Bellchambers will focus on bringing dentsu ANZ’s existing data and technology talent closer together, with a more connected strategy spanning data, technology and AI.

She will also join the dentsu ANZ Executive Leadership Team, underlining how important data, technology and AI are to the company’s future direction.

Bellchambers joins dentsu from Nine, where she was Head of Product, AI, leading AI product strategy and overseeing AI-driven solutions across content, audience and commercial use cases.

Before that, she held senior leadership roles at Clemenger BBDO, where she led data science and analytics capability for clients, embedding advanced analytics and AI into marketing and creative solutions at scale.

She has also picked up industry recognition, including B&T’s 2025 Top 10 Best of the Best Chief Product & Technology Officers, and the 2024 B&T Women in Media Award in the Tech category.

Bellchambers holds a Master of Applied Analytics, backed by advanced qualifications in artificial intelligence.

In the role, she will tap into dentsu’s global AI products, platforms and partnerships, while also shaping solutions for teams and clients across ANZ with local relevance.
