AUCKLAND, Today: New Zealand and Australia will lead the world’s way back from the Covid crisis, believes Nielsen Media NZ MD Caroline Atford.
She made the prediction while participating in the Comms Council’s latest (part 4) of its current discussion panel of industry leaders, chaired by FCB’s inimitable ECD Peter Vegas (scroll down for the full link).
“We are actually holding the numbers down,” she said. “Overseas, they’re not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and they’re all starting to look our way to see what we’re doing.
“Overseas, they’re not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and they’re all starting to look this way to see what we’re doing.”
“Because of this, we have an extraordinary obligation to keep showing the way.”
The panel members were Nielsen’s Atford (find her on the video at 11:05 / 34:23), Nick Vile, (oOh!), TVNZ commercial director Jodi O’Donnell, TBWA CCO Shane Bradnick OMD ceo Nigel Douglas, PHD ceo Nikki Grafton, and Damon Stapleton (regional CCO at DDB).
They stage an illuminating but informal 35-minute discussion on how their businesses are coping as we hit working week 5 of lockdown.
