AUCKLAND, Today: NZME has renewed its exclusive media partnership with Auckland FC, following a hugely successful first season and the club’s impressive A-League debut.
The new multi-year deal cements NZME’s role as Auckland FC’s media partner across digital, audio and print, tapping into its 3.5 million-strong audience to help grow the club’s reach and community impact.
Emily Travers, NZME Head of Commercial Sport, Partnerships and Events, says the renewal highlights a natural fit between the two organisations.
“Auckland FC has swiftly established itself as a supreme force in Auckland and our partnership reflects the natural synergy between NZME and AFC as two dominant players in the region.
“We’re excited to continue this partnership as we build on our early success and with NZME’s support, we look forward to welcoming even more people into the Auckland FC fraternity this coming season.” – Nick Becker, Auckland FC CEO
Auckland FC’s ability to engage and excite communities aligns perfectly with our mission to keep Kiwis in the know and connect with audiences. Their success on and off the pitch provides compelling content opportunities across our platforms, from NZ Herald’s digital reach to Newstalk ZB’s trusted voice and The Hits’ entertainment focus.”
Auckland FC CEO Nick Becker says NZME’s backing was key to the club’s strong first season. “NZME’s multi-platform approach and deep understanding of the Auckland market has helped us build a strong foundation of community support.
“We’re excited to continue this partnership as we build on our early success and with NZME’s support, we look forward to welcoming even more people into the Auckland FC fraternity this coming season,” Becker says.
