
AUCKLAND, Today: NZME has teamed up exclusively with Canterbury Cricket to promote the Canterbury Kings and Canterbury Magicians during the Super Smash series at Hagley Oval this January.
The fast-paced T20 competition brings New Zealand’s top cricket talent together for five double-header match days, with both teams playing back-to-back and two thrilling finals to wrap up the season.
Fans can look forward to live music, entertainment, fan zones, and premium hospitality — turning Hagley Oval into a summer celebration of cricket, culture, and community.
The partnership strengthens NZME’s commitment to the South Island and its growing presence in Christchurch. The campaign will run across The Hits and the New Zealand Herald, connecting with local fans and showcasing the excitement of live sport.

The Canterbury Kings and Magicians hit the field on 1, 10, 21, 23 and 25 January 2026, with the Elimination Final on 30 January and the Grand Final on 31 January. Tickets and details are available via Super Smash.
