AUCKLAND, Today: NZME and ANZ NZ are uniting again this Daffodil Day, turning ANZ Donation Station into an all-day broadcast packed with music, stories and entertainment, raising vital funds for the Cancer Society.

The live event runs from NZME’s Auckland HQ on Friday 29 August, streaming across ZM, iHeartRadio, social media, NZ Herald online, and NZME’s radio network. Expect performances from Guy Sebastian, Cassie Henderson, Paige, and more.

Last year’s event snagged Best Client Campaign at the 2025 Radio Awards. This year, it’s bigger—featuring quirky fundraisers like Hauraki’s Ping Pong Champs, The Hits Bake Sale, Coast’s celebrity netball, Flava’s Runathon, and a Newstalk ZB interview.

Greg McCrea, NZME Chief Commercial Officer, Agency says, “We’re thrilled to be joining forces once again with our fantastic partner – ANZ in supporting the Cancer Society for this incredibly important campaign.”

He added, “NZME’s platforms play a powerful role in keeping Kiwis in the know and through ANZ Donation Station, we can not only entertain our audiences but drive awareness and inspire generosity.”

Sarah Rogan, ANZ NZ Head of Sponsorship says, “We’re really pleased to have NZME’s support following the huge success of last year’s very first ANZ Donation Station event.”

“One in three New Zealanders will face cancer in their lifetime and ANZ is proud to have supported the Cancer Society for 35 years to support these Kiwis and their families.”

“Through this campaign we’re honouring people’s stories, driving donations and helping provide the care and services people living with cancer need to access. Every donation counts so we encourage everyone to show their support.”

NZME’s 1200-strong team will also join in with their own fundraising efforts nationwide, adding even more momentum to the cause.
