oOh! brings $10,000 cash + $20,000 media to next week’s Effies

AUCKLAND, Wednesday: This year, oOh!media is again sponsoring several key categories at the Effie Awards 2021, being held virtually next Wednesday 10 November.

The oOh!-sponsored categories are Most Effective Use of Digital Technology, Sustained Success, and the Charity/Not-For-Profit categories.

GM Nick Vile said: “In previous years, oOh! has activated its sponsorship with curated VIP cocktail bar experiences to provide a moment of celebration for the attendees and the winners of the night.

“However, due to the Covid-19 lockdown, oOh! has made the decision to pivot their original sponsorship involvement while still providing a moment of surprise and delight.


“As commercial partners of the Comms Council, we aim to support the communities we are part of, including the advertising industry.”

“For the 2021 Effies, oOh! will instead be giving $10,000 cash and $20,000 media value to one of the three finalists in the category.

“To choose the winner, oOh! yesterday launched a voting form to encourage people to vote for their pick of the top three.

“To entice the creative communities to participate, all voters will go in the draw to win a delectable delivery from local Auckland dining institution Prego (or a local equivalent if winner is not from Auckland) to enjoy on the Awards evening.

“The three finalists are the Breast Cancer Foundation, Movember Foundation, and the National Collective of Independent Women’s Refuges.

“As commercial partners of the Commercial Communications Council, we aim to support the communities we are part of, including the advertising industry, as well as celebrating advertising excellence.”
