AUCKLAND, Today: oOh!media will appoint Timothy Miles as an independent non-executive director, effective at the conclusion of the company’s 2019 AGM this afternoon.

Miles, who was appointed following an extensive search for an additional independent non-executive director.

oOh! chair Tony Faure said: “Tim’s significant experience, both internationally and in New Zealand, notably in technology and digital development, will be a much-valued addition to the existing skills and experience of his fellow directors.”

Based in Auckland, Miles is currently a non-executive director of listed company Genesis, Nyriad (a software enabled data storage tech business), UDC Finance, and is chair of the Gut Cancer Foundation.


“The board intends to appoint an additional independent non-executive director in the near future.”


Previously, he has held leadership roles including as ceo of Spark Digital, MD of PGG Wrightson, ceo at Vodafone NZ and ceo of Vodafone UK. Miles has also held senior roles at IBM, Data General Corporation and Unisys Corporation.

oOh! ceo Brendon Cook said the appointment would strengthen the company’s presence in the New Zealand market.

“Following the acquisition of the street furniture business (formerly Adshel), oOh!media has the most diverse and integrated national audience delivery network in the industry, with the largest coverage in New Zealand,” Cook said.

“The board intends to appoint an additional independent non-executive director in the near future.”
