The Beverly Hills-based Oscars organisation the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences unveiled new members invited to join this week, and Flying Fish director Christine Jeffs was included in this list.
The directors list includes Tom Ford, Guy Ritchie, Gal Gadot, Sarah Paulson, Sienna Miller, Amy Poehler, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, and Chris Pratt .
“For Christine Jeffs to have her work recognised and to be invited to sit alongside so many incredible, international names is very commending,” said Fish MD James Moore.
“Her work [the academy notice singles out Sunshine Cleaning and Sylvia] speaks volumes and to be acknowledged amongst such a strong calibre of her contemporaries is really rewarding.”
