AUCKLAND, Today: PHD was the only New Zealand agency to receive top agency honours at the Trans-Tasman Google Awards, which recognise exceptional work in Performance advertising in Australia and New Zealand.

PHD Group collected awards in the Automation, Doubleclick AAA GMS (smaller clients) and Doubleclick AAA LCS (big clients) categories, recognising the impressive efforts and skill of PHD’s SEM team of Emanuel Audisio, Patrick Kim, Shenine Dune and Nick Sadler.

Alex Crossan, Anh Nguyen and Laine Yeager won Q3 YouTube All Star awards for their exceptional work for Spark. As part of the prize, they will travel to Google HQ in Mountain View, California, to spend time with the Google team.

“These awards are a really big deal for us.”

PHD Group head of performance media Forsyth Thompson said the wins show PHD’s search team is world-class. “Performance honours rewards the agencies that shine throughout the year so these awards are a really big deal for us,” he said.

“We’re very proud of Alex, Anh, Laine and the SEM team for their achievements.”

PHD Group has achieved success at previous Google honours finals, including five individual awards (Guru of the Year, Performance Megastar and YouTube All Star) earlier this year. The agency was also Google’s most-awarded New Zealand agency in 2017.

The Performance Honours programme was started by Google to bring together leading agencies and professionals, across Australia and New Zealand, to be recognised for exceptional work in Performance advertising.
