CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday: Full-service creative agency Not Another, has won the Site of the Day award from Awwwards for its Porn Week campaign website.

The website was built in Webflow and is the official Site of the Day worldwide at Awwwards.com today (Saturday 21 January).

The award recognises outstanding design, creativity, and user experience of the website which was the key part of an education campaign Not Another devised and developed for its client, Netsafe New Zealand.

The website and campaign were designed to educate and inform young people, parents, and educators about the potential harms of pornography on teenagers and provide them with the tools and resources to make informed decisions about their online behaviour.

Not Another co-founder Adrien Taylor said: “We are delighted to have received this prestigious award for our work on the Porn Week website. We are New Zealand’s leading certified Webflow experts.

“The playfulness hits the perfect mark of sexual suggestiveness – while still being totally approachable and unintimidating.”

“We’re on the Awwwards website every day for inspiration – it really showcases the very best of the web – so to be featured there as the best website in the world for one day really is something we’re hugely proud of and delighted with.

“Our team worked closely with Netsafe New Zealand to understand the specific needs of their target audience and develop a website that was both engaging and informative. The Site of the Day award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.”

Agency co-founder Mark Townshend said: “We are proud to have played a part in raising awareness about the effects of porn on New Zealand teenagers.

“The Porn Week website is an important tool in helping young people make informed decisions about their online behavior and we loved the opportunity to support Netsafe New Zealand in their efforts to keep young people safe online.

“Porn is one of the most taboo subjects and we wanted to break any awkwardness people have in talking about it by developing a campaign that is totally unapologetic in its creative and language.

“Studies show that the average age of first exposure to pornography is around 11 years old.”

“We had to be really sensitive in nailing the balance between being eye-catching while ensuring we didn’t embarrass or alienate the teenagers and their parents we’re targeting with the campaign.

“The playfulness of the balloons hits the perfect mark of sexual suggestiveness while still being totally approachable and unintimidating.

The website features a range of resources, including tips, facts and interactive tools and quizzes that help educate young people about the potential effects of pornography – consumption of which is on the rise.

“The easy access to the internet and the anonymity it provides has made it easier for young people to access and consume pornography.

“Studies have shown that the average age of first exposure to pornography is around 11 years old, and that a significant percentage of young people have viewed pornography before reaching adulthood.”
