AUCKLAND, Today: Just one week to go till PREScom – the Comms Council’s inaugural PR/experiential awards show – the finalists include Spark PR, Lassoo, Mango, Sherson Wills, Fuse, Tenfold, Campbell & Co, TBWA\ and Copper Brand Experiences (scroll down for details).
The PREScom Awards are designed to fill a gap with a programme solely for PR, experiential and social media agencies to support.
Awards categories include Best Use of Media Relations, Best Sponsorship or Media Partnership, Best Use of Social Media and Best Experiential or Event.
PREScom chair Mark Pickering says they wanted to see the entire industry get behind it and make it its own, and the calibre of entries this year will do just that.
“All three disciplines have grown significantly and are now an integral part of the overall marketing mix.”
Comms Council ceo Paul Head said: “In an increasingly cluttered media environment, these disciplines have the potential to cut-through with campaigns that attract and endear the consumer directly.

“The scale and scope of the entries received show just how important these disciplines are to the reach and efficacy of brands and it’s great to see they now have their own awards programme.”
The awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday 28 November at Bar Twenty-One at Sky City. It will be a cocktail, canape and casino event from 6pm sharp.
