Catherine Arrow gets Life

AUCKLAND, Today: The Public Relations Institute has inducted a new Life member and two new Fellows in recognition of their services to the sector.

Catherine Arrow (PR Knowledge Hub) as elevated to Life membership of PRINZ, while Lee Harris (Pike River Recovery Agency) and Michele Hider (Priority Comms) were appointed Fellows.

Life membership is the highest accolade and has previously been awarded to just 16 recipients.

Before emigrating to New Zealand, Catherine Arrow was a respected and PR professional (and teacher) in the UK, where she was named PR Professional of the Year in 2000, and awarded a Fellowship in 2005.

Since arriving in NZ in 2006, she’s been awarded the seldom-presented PRINZ President’s Medal in 2012, and made a PRINZ Fellow in 2013.

Lee Harris is a former chair of PRINZ southern division, as well as a board member and awards judge.

Michele Hider has a solid grounding in public sector health communications, branching out into working in disability and now works on a range of topics and issues.
