QMS NZ and Auckland Transport have been officially presented with the annual Nanolumens Crystal Nixel Award last week for outstanding development of the Britomart Towers digital landmark sites in Auckland.
This international award recognises superior creativity in the design and implementation of an LED visualisation solution, with the ability to demonstrate how the LED solution would impact and engage with the audiences who utilise the environment each day a key element for award selection.
Utilising Nanolumens advanced technology, QMS and Auckland Transport developed a lightweight, power efficient and creatively engineered digital solution that satisfied the high level of safety certification required in the challenging subterranean environment of the station.
The project was selected from among more than 1500 developments globally to earn the supreme award.
Positioned either side of the escalators that funnel commuters in and out of the station, the sheer size and scale of these landmark sites ensures maximum impact and exposure to the large volumes of foot traffic and provides visibility from all platforms.
“We are delighted to receive this prestigious award, and together with our valued commercial partner Auckland Transport, to be recognised on an international stage,” said QMS NZ ceoWayne Chapman.
“Our philosophy for digital development is focused on creating engaging experiences featuring superior technology and design. We believe that working with partners that share this vision is key to our success.”
