AUCKLAND, Today: Kiwi agency Quantum Jump has expanded into Australia, opening an office in Sydney. The move marks a new chapter for the six-year-old shop as it looks to grow its trans-Tasman footprint.
Mumbrella has confirmed the appointment of Rachel Wintle as Australian general manager. She’ll work alongside founder and CEO Ben Goodale to grow the agency’s client base and presence in the local market.
Founded in 2019, Quantum Jump is known for strategic thinking, creative execution, and strong data credentials — particularly in CRM, loyalty, CX, and digital marketing.
Goodale said the business has grown year-on-year, to the point where “the Auckland office is running out of desks.” Clients include Mitre 10 NZ, Sky TV, AA, Farmlands, and Dementia NZ.
After regular work with Aussie clients, opening a local office felt like a natural step. “I’ve always loved being involved in the Australian market, it’s an exciting place to be,” said Goodale.
He added that when a client needed them on the ground, they made it happen. “The relationship between New Zealand and Australia has a great sense of togetherness and a kinship.”

Hiring the right person was key — and he said he was “blessed” to find Wintle, who brings international experience and local insight.
Wintle returned from New York in March, where she helped launch Genero in the US and worked with Meta, L’Oréal and YouTube. She also led the Amazon Ads account at Anomaly.
She said Quantum Jump stood out for its focus on CRM and loyalty — something less common in the indie space. “That really stuck out to me as something I hadn’t seen as much of.”
Back in Australia at a time of big shifts — AI, M&As, and indie growth — Wintle believes marketers are looking for “heavy-duty thinking” paired with creative firepower.
She admits the market is crowded but sees that as a motivator. “If you didn’t have nerves … you wouldn’t be doing your job justice.”
The launch will be “organic,” with a flexible approach to growth. “We will go where the business grows,” said Wintle.
Without big overheads, they’re focused on smart, sustainable growth. “As we build out the team around Rachel, the focus will remain in Sydney, being present,” said Goodale.
