The 2018 NZ Radio Awards has announced its call for entries – they open this Monday 22 January, and will once again be driven through the Radio Awards website.
Entres close on Monday 5 March.
As with previous years, entrants will be required to register as a user at www.radioawards.co.nz and follow an easy step by step process for submitting an entry.
There are a number of changes this year of note.
One new category has been added to Best Content section. This new category is Best Podcast which is to recognize excellence in a podcast series on any audio platform.
Sales Team of the Year is now just one category to recognise the best sales team across network, regional & provincial areas.
Like last year, a written submission template will need to be completed for most categories with the aim of this is to make the entry process easier for all entrants and provide a simpler and more standard process for judges.
Radio Industry Awards committee chairman Jana Rangooni said: “This year we will be celebrating 40 years of Radio Awards in New Zealand and the RBA is very pleased to have Radio New Zealand re-join the awards so the entire NZ radio industry will be celebrating its great work..
The finalists will be announced on Tuesday 17 April, and the winners will be unveiled at the awards ceremony on Thursday 10 May in Auckland.
