AUCKLAND, Friday: The five judges who will crown 2020’s radio copywriting royalty at the TRB’s annual Outstanding Radio Creative Awards (The Orcas) have been announced.
They are:
- VMLY&R MD James Mok
- BC&F Dentsu creative partner Bex Radford
- FCB ECD Leisa Wall
- Clemenger BBDO senior writer JP Twaalfhoven
- AUT University head of radio & audio Dr Matt Molligaard
The Orcas are open to any creatives who have their campaign creative air on a NZ commercial radio station during the competition period (16 September 2019 to 6 July 2020).

The Grand Orca winner will take home a $10,000 cash prize and a $10,000 client radio campaign.
There will also be an opportunity to win the People’s Choice Award – a $2000 cash prize and a $5000 client radio campaign.
Entries are “exceptionally easy” to complete, with a “few simple details” and an audio upload required.
Entries close 29 June. The TRB has yet to announce an awards date.
