Sky shares Olympic lineup and ad prospects for Paris 2024

AUCKLAND, Today: Sky, as New Zealand’s exclusive broadcaster for the Paris 2024 Olympics, plans to bring the event to viewers via Sky Sport, Sky Go, Sky Sport Now, and Sky Open. They aim for comprehensive coverage.

The network is set to cover the Olympics thoroughly, focusing on the participation of around 200 Kiwi athletes. This includes live events and studio coverage across more than 20 sports.

Sky’s programming features morning and evening review shows hosted by Kirstie Stanway and Laura McGoldrick, respectively. ‘The Crowd Goes Wild’ will focus on the Olympics, with Andrew Mulligan and James McOnie.

Rikki Swannell will commentate on rugby matches, with Kimberlee Downs, Jeff McTainsh, and Courtney Tairi capturing athletes’ reactions. Coverage spans across Sky Sport 3 and additional 24-hour channels.

Sky Open will offer free-to-air content, including key shows and live events. This ensures wide accessibility to the Olympics’ highlights and live action.

The opening ceremony will be a spectacle along the River Seine, with events across France, including Tahiti for surfing. The settings promise to enhance the viewing experience.
