AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Storm Day has joined Special Group in the newly created role of head of account service after being the marketing director of Lewis Road Creamery.

During her time at Lewis Road her role was to guide the brand as well as being responsible for driving brand value in New Zealand and export markets including China and the US.

Before joining Lewis Road, Day was group business director at Assignment on brands including Tourism New Zealand, Kapiti, Hyundai, TVNZ and New Zealand Story.

At Special, Day will be responsible for leading the agency’s global Tourism New Zealand account as well as leading the entire account service department.

“Excuse the pun, but there is something very special that’s happening at Special!”

“It’s a real coup to attract someone of Storm’s calibre,” said Special Group partner Tony Bradbourne.

“Her insights and experience will be invaluable for our clients and staff alike. It’s unique having someone who has done so well in that position now leading our amazing account service department.”

Day said: “I’ve loved my time at Lewis Road; it was a difficult decision to leave, but excuse the pun, there is something very special that’s happening at Special.

The work Special is producing is incredible. The Good Morning World campaign for Tourism NZ is world-class, and their Transtasman offering is second to none.”

Special MD Michael Redwood said: “Storm has an exceptional track record of excellence and achievement. I can’t wait to be working with her again.”
