Squarespace’s Hitch on the Ditch campaign bridges the Aussie-Kiwi divide

AUCKLAND, Yesterday: Squarespace has just hit the scene down under in Australia and New Zealand with a brand-new campaign. It’s big news because, apparently, Australia is quickly becoming one of Squarespace’s favorite spots.

They’ve cooked up a creative ad featuring a boat captain who launches Hitch on the Ditch for couples torn between Australia and New Zealand. It’s this inventive spirit Squarespace wants to ignite in everyone.

As spending spikes in January, Squarespace offers a savvy way for Aussies to boost their income amidst rising costs.

“Modern day entrepreneurs know that finding success doesn’t mean always coming up with a category-defining idea,” Alex Neilson hits the nail on the head. The campaign encourages looking closer to home for those golden opportunities, with Squarespace ready to bring those ideas to life.

The campaign, set to hit TV, radio, and socials, showcases the creative prowess of Squarespace’s team.

“As we enter our third decade, this was a special campaign to work on, harnessing the talent of our in-house creative team,” Ben Hodgin shares. The unique dynamic between Aussies and Kiwis, full of camaraderie and playful rivalry, inspired the campaign.

“We decided to lean into that as the core of the idea and started by looking at the halfway point between the two countries. Or, neutral territory if you will. Turns out, it’s in the middle of the Tasman Sea.

“We asked ourselves, who would start a business here? Enter Captain Kev.” For anyone with a dream, Squarespace has the toolkit to make it stand out and succeed.

From domain registration to a beautiful online presence, Squarespace simplifies the path to success, making it easier than ever to launch your vision.
