AUCKLAND, Tuesday: DDB Aotearoa NZ has appointed Jack Murphy, one of New Zealand’s leading young strategists, to the role of strategy director.

Murphy, who began his career at DDB 10 years ago, brings his diverse skill set home after a two-year stint at Ireland’s largest independent agency, Boys + Girls. He has extensive experience working across leading global and local clients, including Westpac NZ, telecoms company Three Ireland and energy supplier Energia.


“DDB has always been my spiritual home and it felt like the perfect time to come back. There is a real sense of momentum here.”

DDB Aotearoa chief strategy officer, Rupert Price said: ““It’s always great to welcome familiar faces back to the fold and we’re so excited to have Jack with us again.

“He’s got an incredibly bright, creative mind balanced with strategic rigour which he’s finely tuned during his previous years at DDB and most recent experience in Ireland.”
