New editor for Sunday and Your Weekend magazines

AUCKLAND, Today: Stuff has appointed Frances Morton to edit its Sunday and Your Weekend magazines. She starts in July. Morton joins Stuff’s Life team from her role as head of TVNZ’s youth digital platform Re: News.

Prior to that she was head of content for Vice NZ and has also written for Metro and NZME titles.

Head of Life’s Sarah Stuart says: “I’m thrilled to have someone of Frances’ calibre take the reins at Sunday and Your Weekend and I’m looking forward to seeing how she nurtures and grows these much-loved titles.

“Frances has an impressive media record and will lead the team in delivering engaging, thought-provoking and joyful content to our audiences in print and online.”

Morton said: “It’s hugely exciting to be stepping into this role. Sunday and Your Weekend celebrate, reflect and reveal the best things about life in Aotearoa.


“Francis Morton will take up the editor’s seat in July, following current ed Nyree McFarlane’s return to the United Arab Emirates.”
