AUCKLAND, Today: Chocolate fans, heads up. Whittaker’s Banana Caramel 250g block is making a comeback after flying off shelves last year in record time.

It’s still a one-off release, so this round gives loyal fans a chance to stock up and newcomers a shot at tasting the buzz.

Whittaker’s Chief Marketing Officer Soraya Cottin says demand has been huge since it disappeared, with requests flooding in to bring the flavour back.

“We’re delighted to be able to be responsive to our Chocolate Lovers and love that they are as passionate about Whittaker’s Banana Caramel as we are.

“We think the secret to its popularity is that it’s something a bit different than anything we’ve done before while still being the same quality Whittaker’s Chocolate Lovers expect.” – Soraya Cottin, Whittaker’s Chief Marketing Officer

“We think the secret to its popularity is that it’s something a bit different than anything we’ve done before while still being the same quality Whittaker’s Chocolate Lovers expect,” says Soraya.

Inside the block is smooth banana-infused caramel wrapped in Whittaker’s 33% cocoa 5 Roll Refined Creamy Milk chocolate, finished in bright packaging that leans into the flavour’s nostalgic, playful vibe.

Like the rest of the range, it’s made beans-to-bar at the Porirua factory using 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified™ fully traceable cocoa beans, and it’s completely palm oil-free.

The Banana Caramel 250g block lands in stores nationwide from 16 February until sold out.

“We encourage Chocolate Lovers to get in quick to get hold of some of this deliciously moreish limited-edition flavour while stocks last,” says Soraya.
