AUCKLAND, Today: TBWA, Ikon and Assembly Films have put to air a groundbreaking new piece of TV work for 2degrees – #togetherwecam – aimed at oiling electronic social intercourse during the lockdown.

“We’ve always been a nation of 2 degrees of separation,” said TBWA  ceo Catherine Harris.

“We care for each other and our communities, and 2degrees wants to help us stay as connected as we can be.

“Over the coming weeks 2degrees is going to be using their technology and media to bring friends, families, communities and businesses together.

“One powerful way to reach out while staying home, is to simply turn on your camera for some face-to-face time. So if anyone has anything you want to say, do, sing, make, play or mime, that might help NZ out, 2degrees wants them to share it.

“Because we’re all in this together, and #togetherwecam stay connected.”

“It was all filmed from voiceover artist Pax’s living room and remotely directed by the TBWA creative team.”

TBWA CCO Shane Bradnick put it this way: “This isn’t just an ad – it’s a platform that lets 2degrees react in real time to the situation we’re all going through.

“It was all filmed from our voiceover artist Pax’s living room and remotely directed by the TBWA creative team.

“We realised video comms were the new normal and wanted to make sure everyone is connected and staying together.

“We took our voiceover artist Pax and used him as the face for this ongoing conversation with New Zealand.

“Pax will interview, call in and keep in contact with Kiwis all over the country. We’ve also created a webpage that helps people set up their video comms.

“Today the team is recording the next series of ads, so watch this space.”

#togetherwecam will run on TV, social, PR, radio and OOH.
