AUCKLAND, Today: Alice Cooper and Tracey Donaldson are joining The Sound’s all-star lineup, bringing even more rock royalty and radio firepower to the airwaves from Monday, 30 June.
Alice’s wildly popular night show Alice’s Attic is now crashing your lunch break. He’ll host Classic Rock Lunch every weekday from 1pm with stories and songs that only Alice can deliver.
Then from 2pm, Tracey Donaldson returns to The Sound with The Sound Drive. It’s a comeback fans have been waiting for—and she’s bringing the perfect mix of rock and radio know-how.
Tracey’s packed over 30 years into her radio career, most recently hosting Gold FM’s noon to 6pm slot. She’s also a three-time NZ Radio Awards finalist for Best Music Host.
Her career spans stations like The Rock and The Sound, where she built a loyal following with her warm, energetic style and killer music knowledge. At The Sound, she’s curating a daily show that brings great classic rock and sharp music insight to a station that proudly delivers the Soundtrack Of Our Lives.
“It’s such a thrill to return to The Sound, and join an on-air team who share my music obsession,” Tracey said. “I can’t wait to connect with the listeners each day, sharing great tracks and stories.”
Vaughan Hobbs, Content Director, The Sound, added, “We’re excited to bring Sound listeners even more of the legend, that is Alice Cooper.
