AUCKLAND, Today: The Marketing Club is bringing a major name in global marketing to New Zealand, confirming Uncensored CMO host Jon Evans as the headline keynote for Marketers Day Auckland 2026.
Evans will take the stage in Auckland on Friday 22 May, marking his first visit to New Zealand and his only appearance in the country.
The announcement came together in a pretty unusual way, after a LinkedIn challenge from Founder Chanel Clark picked up serious momentum with marketers rallying behind the idea.
“After 1000+ emails back and forth and Chanel telling me how badly the NZ/AU marketing community wanted me over, I didn’t quite believe it. So I set a challenge – get 700 likes on a LinkedIn post and I’ll do it (not thinking the community would show up).”
“790 likes later, a very happy Chanel in my DMs and, ever a man of my word, I can’t wait to be there to support The Marketing Club for Marketers Day in Sydney and Auckland,” says Evans.
“This is a big moment for New Zealand marketers. Jon is one of the most respected and honest voices in our industry and having him here for the first time matters. There’s a real appetite for more open, honest conversations about what actually drives effectiveness and growth and that’s exactly what Jon brings.” – Chanel Clark, Founder, The Marketing Club

With more than 67,000 LinkedIn followers and a global audience through Uncensored CMO, Evans has built a reputation for cutting through the noise and focusing on what actually drives growth and effectiveness.
Alongside the podcast, Evans has held senior roles at Suntory and Britvic, was previously CMO at BrewDog, and most recently served as Chief Customer Officer at System1.
For Chanel Clark, bringing Evans to New Zealand is a strong signal of where the local industry is heading and the level of thinking marketers here want access to.
Clark says, “This is a big moment for New Zealand marketers. Jon is one of the most respected and honest voices in our industry and having him here for the first time matters.
“There’s a real appetite for more open, honest conversations about what actually drives effectiveness and growth and that’s exactly what Jon brings.
“More than that, this speaks to the power of the TMC community. When marketers get behind something, they show up and that’s exactly what happened here.
“I can’t wait to show Jon what this community is all about – the passion, the talent and the standard of thinking happening across Australia and New Zealand. We’ve always believed Kiwi marketers deserve access to global thinking and this proves we can bring it here.”
Marketers Day follows a sold-out debut and the fast growth of The Marketing Club, which now has more than 15,000 members across Australia and New Zealand.
Evans will headline a wider speaker line-up, with more announcements still to come.
