“We have just finished two months of animation on shots for a nutso commercial for Kirin in Japan,” writes Toybox Auckland producer Al McKay. “It was lots of fun and quite exhausting.”
“Toybox was honoured to design and animate the big green guy in this crazy TVC for Kirin Mets Soda, featuring one of Japan’s most loved characters, Gachapin.”
Shot in Guam (the location for Son of Godzilla 1967) this commercial pays homage to the great Toho monster movies, with an oddly refreshing twist.
