AUCKLAND, Today: Curious Nation has added two new hires across New Zealand and Australia, bolstering its trans-Tasman team after a strong run of growth and fresh client wins.
Christina Crawford joins the independent agency’s New Zealand office as senior producer, while Anna Smith comes on board in Sydney as account manager.
Crawford brings more than 20 years of experience as a senior event producer and project director, with a background spanning large-scale brand experiences, conferences, public festivals and VIP hospitality events.
Her work has taken in projects across New Zealand, Europe and Asia, for organisations including New Zealand Rugby, One NZ, Spark and SKYCITY Entertainment Group.
Crawford also brings experience working with global experiential agencies and luxury brands, pairing strategic thinking with hands-on production know-how and a reputation for delivering complex work with care and precision.
In Sydney, Smith joins the team as account manager and will help deliver major client projects across Australia. She previously worked with UK-based creative events and production agency EventLive, where she spent two years helping bring events to life from concept through to delivery.
“Christina and Anna are fantastic additions to the Curious Nation team and reflect the calibre of talent we’re continuing to attract as the business grows across both sides of the Tasman.” – Meredith Cranmer, CEO, founder and managing director, Curious Nation
Meredith Cranmer, CEO, founder and managing director of Curious Nation said, “Christina and Anna are fantastic additions to the Curious Nation team and reflect the calibre of talent we’re continuing to attract as the business grows across both sides of the Tasman.
“Christina brings an incredible depth of experience delivering complex, high-profile experiences internationally, and her ability to combine strategic thinking with flawless execution will be invaluable to our clients in New Zealand.
“Anna joins our Sydney team with a passion for bringing ideas to life, and she will play an important role in helping us deliver the kind of bold, insight-led activations our clients expect.”
The appointments come after a strong start to the year for Curious Nation, which has recently landed three new business wins.
Those include Goodman Fielder’s CSR Sugar portfolio in Australia, an activation project in Japan for Italian company ILLVA Saronno, and an immersive showcase event for a major New Zealand media company.
Late last year, the agency also launched its first Activation Effectiveness Barometer, a benchmark study of more than 80 senior marketing leaders across Australia and New Zealand.
The study looks at how brand activations are being measured, valued and prioritised across the wider marketing mix.
