AUCKLAND, Today: VAST Billboards has gone national, unveiling its 55th site — and first in Wellington — as part of a major expansion. The Petone location adds a key piece to VAST’s growing network across Aotearoa’s biggest commuter routes.

Just outside Wellington’s city centre, the Petone site gives brands a high-impact space with none of the visual clutter of the CBD. It’s positioned to reach huge daily traffic without the distractions of inner-city advertising competition.

With more than 150,000 people living in the Hutt Valley alone, the new location opens up major reach. It also strengthens VAST’s presence across other key cities including Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton and regional centres.

Gary Rosewarne, Head of Growth at VAST Billboards, said: “Petone is more than a pin on the map – it’s a prime opportunity for advertisers to connect with real, moving audiences outside the usual noise.

The Petone site joins a distinctive network of 25 portrait-format placements. These are designed to simplify national planning, giving advertisers better consistency and creative impact across large-format out-of-home campaigns — without needing to juggle multiple formats.

In the past year alone, VAST has added 15 new billboard sites. The growing network offers greater scale and more efficiency to advertisers looking to reach audiences across the country, particularly in high-traffic, high-visibility regional corridors.

Grant Moreton, Managing Director at VAST Billboards, said: “This site is a very proud moment for all of us at VAST, cementing us as a truly national network with consistent and high impact solutions across the whole of New Zealand.

“It’s exciting to complement our unique network of regional signs with these additions and we’re committed to continue growing our footprint to deliver value across the out-of-home ecosystem.”
