Following a competitive pitch the Vodafone Warriors have appointed Special Group to their advertising business. It is not know if the incumbent (Auckland agency &some) was involved in the pitch.
“We have been really impressed by managing director Jim Doyle’s desire to lift the level of professionalism across every aspect of the Warriors brand and experience,” said Special Group managing partner Michael Redwood. “A renewed focus on marketing and branding will hopefully play a strong part in a very successful season.”
Doyle joined the Warriors at the end of 2014 after two years as the chief operating officer of the NRL.
Vodafone Warriors events & entertainment consultant Holly Dean said: “Special’s strategic and creative thinking and their smart use of digital really stood out for us. I’m looking forward to creating some standout work with the team.”
