AUCKLAND, Today: Sky is bringing Kiwis every moment of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, live on Sky Sport, streaming on Sky Sport Now, and free-to-air on Sky Open.
The tournament kicks off in England on Friday 22 August (NZT: early Saturday 23 August), with the Black Ferns defending their title in what’s set to be a milestone for women’s rugby.
As the official broadcaster in Aotearoa NZ, Sky will show every match live on Sky Sport and Sky Sport Now, with key games – including all Black Ferns matches – also airing on Sky Open.
Sky Sport 1 coverage will feature world feed commentary led by Rikki Swannell. All Black Ferns matches will also have Te Reo Māori commentary from Hemana Waaka and broadcaster Maiau Houltham.
Sky Open will broadcast select matches live-to-delayed or delayed, including the opener, all Black Ferns pool games, two quarter-finals, both semis, and the final.

Every Black Ferns match will have live studio coverage with pre, half-time, and post-match analysis. Overnight games will have replays and highlights available right after for breakfast viewing, plus 4:30pm highlights on Sky Open.
A weekly preview show will air each Thursday during the tournament. Crowd Goes Wild, The Breakdown and Aotearoa Rugby Pod will also feature competition coverage, live interviews, and on-the-ground stories.
Kirstie Stanway will lead studio coverage for her third Rugby World Cup with Sky. She’ll be joined by Honey Hireme-Smiler, Taylah Johnson, Kendra Cocksedge, Kristina Sue, Les Elder, and more to be announced.
Taylor Curtis will report from England, delivering interviews and behind-the-scenes access. Fans can follow daily highlights and matchday content across Sky’s social media, including updates from superfans Louis and Ashleigh Davis.
