AUCKLAND, Tuesday: Takapuna-based indie creative agency Yarn – with ideation from DDB and Maori-owned/female-led agency Run – has extended its global recent If You Seek campaign for Tourism New Zealand. The production company was Reel Factory.

This time, there’s a focus on positioning Aotearoa New Zealand as a business events destination that’s far from generic.

“Business events are a key pillar of Aotearoa New Zealand’s tourism industry,” says Tourism NZ’s Bjoern Spreitzer.

“Business events attendees are high-quality visitors who ultimately contribute to New Zealand’s tourism sector in ways beyond just the economic benefit.

“They tend to spend more than the usual visitor and visit in off-peak seasons, but they also bring valuable knowledge, interest in our culture and communities, and networking opportunities to New Zealand.

“The campaign highlights New Zealand’s new world-class convention centres, unique conference venues, wine, and food experiences, alongside some unexpected experiences along the way, like action-packed transport options.

Yarn ceo Heath Davy said: “We’ve enjoyed working collaboratively with TNZ’s offshore teams in the US, UK, Europe, and Asia to adapt Tourism New Zealand’s If You Seek campaign – devised by DDB Aotearoa and Run – for the different markets.

“Alongside the hero campaign video and static content, we’ve helped create bespoke immersive sensorial experiences at trade and road show events around the globe, tempting our audiences with a glimpse of what awaits them here in Aotearoa.”
