Cannes Lions head of press & PR Amanda Benfell has left to join The Gunn Report: “I joined Cannes Lions in 1997, and having just completed my 18th Festival, it was a very difficult decision to leave such a great company which has been such a big part of my life,” she writes.

“I’ve enjoyed an amazing journey working here, but I am looking forward to a new challenge, still within the industry, as I join The Gunn Report – global rankings of creative excellence in advertising – later this month as director of communications & marketing, so you can still expect to hear from me!”

“Camilla Cole, a colleague of many years and who you probably know, will take over as head of press & PR at Cannes Lions and will be sending everybody the many communications relating to all Lions Festivals as well as being the contact for all press enquiries (camillac@canneslions.com).”

Touchcast Auckland has appointed Raf Rasile to the new role of business director: Rasile is ex-London where he was running his own digital agency and working on campaigns, apps and sites for Honda, MTV, Suzuki, Converse and Manchester City.

Before that, Rasile headed global digital production for Nokia as part of the WPP and Wunderman network following on from time at GT and Razorfish.

“We’re really pleased to have Raf on board with us. He’s a natural culture fit for Touchcast and brings with him both a depth and breadth of experience that is very difficult to find within the Australasian digital talent pool.”

Rasile said: “Being new to New Zealand and researching the local market and agencies, joining Touchcast was an easy choice as they’re doing great work and truly influencing the local digital landscape.”
