Arrivals & Departures: DDB veteran calls it a day

DDB group business director Scott Wallace is to depart DDB after 17 years to seek new fields of endeavour – with a focus on the nurturing of new brands.

Wallace, who has a total of 37 years under his belt in the ad industry, hopes to work on several personal projects he’s long contemplated – but, due to the demands of fulltime agency work – never taken further.

He says he will continue to be available to clients and agencies on a consultancy basis. He leaves the agency on October 11. DDB has not yet announced his replacement..

“After an amazing 17-year run at DDB, Scott Wallace has resigned – understandably he’s up for a change and we wish him all the best,” said DDB ceo Justin Mowday.

“Scott has contributed a huge amount to DDB and his clients, and has been involved in some of New Zealand’s most loved advertising campaigns. We thank him for his commitment, loyalty and will miss his epic story-telling in the office!”
