Epica extends entry deadline

The Europe-based Epica Awards has extended its entry deadline for one week – until Thursday 15 October. And unlike other awards, Epica does not charge a late entry fee.

Founded in 1987, Epica is the only creative prize awarded by journalists working for marketing and communications magazines around the world (but, sadly, not M+AD).

It offers an independent jury and global press coverage. Launched as the first European advertising competition, today it is an international celebration of creativity, attracting thousands of entries from more than 70 countries.

The Epica Awards ceremony will be held at the Kino International in Berlin on the evening of Thursday 19 November.

The awards show will be preceded by the Creative Circle conference at the Platoon Kunsthalle, Berlin, from 10.30am to 6pm. Speakers will include Oliver Rosenthal, industry leader, creative agency at Google; Robert Bader, Berlin creative partner of UNIT9; Chris Kelly, chief creative officer of Organic NY; and Frederic Bonn, chief creative officer North America of Mirum.

Subjects will include practical uses of virtual reality, the art of collaborating efficiently, and seeking inspiration in unexpected places.
