NZ agency adspend last year reached 1 billion dollars for the first time. In total, NZ$$NZ1.045 billion was spent on major media, according to Standard Media Index data.
TV was No 1 in 2017, with 1% growth taking it to $389.6 million. Digital followed (7.1% growth) taking it to $338.9 million, ahead of Outdoor’s $136.3 million (up 18.4%. Cinema was up 9.2%.
Radio’s share was $83.1 million (up 2.1%).
But Newspapers fell 6.9% and Magazines were down 14.3%.
