Creative partner Rob Jack is leaving Special Group which he founded in 2007 with Tony Bradbourne and Heath Lowe.

“I’ve been working hard building up an agency for 10 years, and have loved doing so,” Jack said. “It’s given me huge enjoyment and satisfaction. But now it’s time to make a change. I am looking forward to working in a different way, and creating a different balance.

“I will be doing strategic consultancy, pitch support and concept generation on a freelance basis for organisations who need heavyweight advice and content without the permanent commitment of someone of my seniority.”

Jack worked on Special Group’s most awarded campaigns, like Orcon’s Iggy Pop, Smirnoff Pure Potential, Paspaley Pearls’ collaboration with Anna Funder, 2degrees Play the Bridge, the Molenberg Sandwich Shop and the Most Creative Country In The World Axis Awards film.

“I’m really proud of what we have achieved at Special Group over the last 10 years. Growing a world-class business from scratch has been amazing.”

Managing partner Michael Redwood said: “Rob has been a key part of Special Group’s success and growth. He’s a strategic thinker with real creative firepower. We admire his stance in choosing a different way to work, and send him off with huge thanks and best wishes.”

Rob Jack will stay with Special Group until Friday 7 July.
