FCB NZ is declining to put a number on the redundancies suffered under the catastrophic loss of VW to DDB and Paper Plus to Contagion. The rumour machine reckons 27 people have been laid off.
But actions speak louder than words – all hell seems to have broken loose at the Auckland agency, with the beseiged staffers barely managing to answer the phones, let alone actually find people (like, PR or management).
Agency ceo Dan Martin is in Cannes, from where he issued a release saying simply: “It is not our policy to comment, and like any agency we are constantly reviewing and adjusting our business.”
More, hopefully, next week.
