99 gets interesting with Kiwibank

AUCKLAND, Wednesday: 99 has forged a series of TV, digital, print, in-store and out-of-home executions to celebrate what Kiwibank is calling “the lowest credit card purchase interest rate in the country”.

ECD Mick Stalker says, “It was one of those campaigns where client trust, an amazing cast, and a great director all came together to help create something we’re really proud of. Plus, it made us laugh.”

“Images of disinterest extended the campaign using even more great talent … including Fred the cat.”

The campaign is now into its fourth week and Kiwibank head of marketing Vesna Nixon says visitors to Kiwibank’s credit cards website pages and applications for the cards have more than doubled since the campaign kicked off on July 7.

Directed by Zia Mandviwalla, and produced by Finch, she says “the 4 x 15sec TV spots embrace the dry humour that lies in experiencing some of life’s most boring moments.

“Images of disinterest were captured by Troy Goodall, and extended the campaign into contextual and OOH settings using even more great talent … including Fred the cat.”
